WeQuel is a people-first consultancy firm that values expertise, collaboration, and innovation. We are now looking for two Formulation Scientists to join us for an exciting consulting assignment at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg. 

The Role

As a Formulation Scientist, you will be part of the Oral Product Development team at AstraZeneca, where you will contribute to the development, characterization, and documentation of solid-based pharmaceutical formulations. Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting experiments to generate new formulations and optimize processes in lab and pilot scale.
• Evaluating pharmaceutical technologies and formulations to support drug product development.
• Working with computerized laboratory systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Who You Are

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

• MSc/BSc in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or equivalent.
• Laboratory experience, including working with computerized systems.
• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and/or English.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements:

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, or working with manufacturing equipment.
• Solid materials/formulation experience is highly meriting.
• Strong team-working skills with the ability to operate independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
