🚛 Assignment: Test/Validation Engineer – Automotive

Do you have a strong interest in testing, measurement technology, and hands-on engineering? We are now looking for a Test/Validation Engineer for an assignment within the automotive industry. The role includes coordination and execution of both winter and summer testing, sensor installation, data collection, and analysis – all in close collaboration with experienced development teams.

🔧 About the Assignment

You will be part of a team responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests in both lab and field environments. The work includes configuring test setups, managing diagnostics, and using specialized software tools. There will also be opportunities to travel abroad for test campaigns, depending on the project phase.

💼 Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support seasonal test campaigns (winter and summer).

• Perform physical testing and install measurement equipment and sensors.

• Collect, validate, and analyze test data.

• Work with diagnostics and software updates in test objects.

• Collaborate closely with test engineers, technicians, and workshop personnel.

• Document test results and contribute to continuous improvement.

🧠 Your Profile:

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in test/validation work; automotive experience is a plus, but not required.

• Comfortable working with diagnostics and instrumentation.

• Familiarity with commonly used tools such as:

  • ETAS INCA (data acquisition and calibration)

  • Vector CANoe (CAN communication analysis)

  • X-com (diagnostics)

  • Gadget (vehicle software update tool)

• Experience with data analysis in MATLAB or similar is an advantage.

• B driver’s license is required – C license is a strong plus.

• You are proactive, structured, and solution-oriented, with a hands-on mindset.

📍 Location:

Based in Södertälje, with occasional travel within Sweden and abroad for test campaigns.
