Analytical Scientist – Consulting Assignment at AstraZeneca
WeQuel is looking for two dedicated Analytical Scientists for an exciting consulting assignment at AstraZeneca in Gothenburg. This is a unique opportunity to work in a world-leading research environment and contribute to the development of innovative inhalation products.
About the Role
As an Analytical Scientist within Inhalation Product Development (IPD), you will focus on the characterization of inhaled molecules. You will perform laboratory-based analytical work, utilizing advanced separation techniques such as liquid chromatography (UPLC) to ensure quality and efficiency in the development of inhalation medicines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing laboratory analyses and documenting experiments according to high-quality standards.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to optimize analytical methods and processes.
- Contributing to the development and validation of analytical techniques for inhaled products.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong desire to develop expertise in the field.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates with:
- A BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Scientific knowledge in analytical sciences and technical proficiency in analytical separation techniques, particularly liquid chromatography (UPLC).
- A strong scientific interest and ambition to develop within analytical sciences.
- Basic understanding of GMP principles; experience working in a GMP environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with aerosol characterization techniques for inhaled products.
- Experience in method development and validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle technical challenges.
- Experience with small molecule analysis.
