Financial Analyst (Junior)
We at WeQuel are now looking for a Junior Financial Analyst in Uppsala, where you will become an important part of the client's Finance department with a focus on manufacturing variances, reporting and month-end closing. In this role, you will analyze spend and manufacturing variances, support the month-end closing process and help identify process improvements. You will report to the Finance Manager, and the role has no direct reports.
As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our clients, a leading company within medical technology and manufacturing, where you will contribute to strengthening financial control, improving processes and creating sustainable solutions within supply chain finance.
Your responsibilities:
Analysis of functional spend, manufacturing variances and reporting
Spend analysis and headcount reporting
Support with Financial closing activities
Support in the month-end closing process, including support to SFA
Support in the capitalization of assets
Support in volume projections
Identification of process improvements
Ad hoc project support, operational improvement initiatives and other projects requiring supply chain finance support
You will work in a dynamic environment where you independently drive your tasks forward while collaborating with several interfaces within the organization.
Requirements:
1–2 years of relevant financial experience
Hands-on experience with month-end closing activities
Experience in financial analysis
Experience in supply chain, manufacturing or cost accounting (preferred)
Minimum a Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Industrial Economics, Finance or Engineering
Fluent Swedish (native) and English, written and spoken
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proficiency in Power BI
Experience with an ERP system (SAP strongly preferred and highly beneficial)
Strong analytical, communication and social skills
Independent thinking and strong planning and prioritization skills
Highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
Adaptable to changing internal customer requirements and business demands
Consistently meets goals with a high degree of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
Ability to work during the summer period
