Business Development & Strategy Manager - Finance - Consulting assignment in the automotive industry

Are you an experienced Business Developer with a strong background in strategy and financial governance? We at WeQuel are currently looking for a Senior Business Developer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in Stockholm. About the Role:

In this role, you will be part of a newly established Business Development and Strategy function within an advanced R&D organization. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, improve financial governance, and support the organization's long-term transformation.

The role combines strategic business development, financial planning, and organizational development. You will contribute to functional strategies, support executive decision-making, drive finance initiatives, and strengthen collaboration between R&D, Finance, and Business functions while leveraging data and AI to improve business performance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Drive strategic business development and financial governance initiatives

• Contribute to the development of functional strategies

• Support strategic decision-making across the organization

• Strengthen collaboration between R&D, Finance, and Business functions

• Manage financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting

• Lead strategic finance initiatives

• Support the Strategy PMO in strategic planning and execution

• Manage and support R&D management systems

• Drive prioritization and follow-up of strategic initiatives together with commercial stakeholders

• Utilize data and AI-related capabilities to support business performance and strategic development

We are looking for someone who:

• Has extensive senior-level experience in Business Development, Strategy, or Financial Governance

• Has proven experience driving strategic business development and organizational transformation

• Has hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

• Has experience leading strategic finance initiatives

• Has experience working closely with R&D, Finance, and Business functions

• Has experience supporting executive decision-making and working with senior leadership stakeholders

• Has strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset

• Has data and AI-related skills that can be applied to business performance and strategic development

• Has experience driving prioritization and follow-up of strategic initiatives

• Has a proven ability to build and improve cross-functional collaboration

Meritorious:

• Experience working within an R&D organization

• Experience supporting or working within a Strategy PMO

• Experience working with R&D management systems

• Experience collaborating with commercial stakeholders

• Experience from product development within industrial or engineering-driven organizations
