Senior Mechanical Designer – Assembly Fixture Design

Location: Oskarshamn

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join a Tools & Fixture Design team, focusing on the development of assembly fixtures for production environments.

This role is centered around supporting assembly workshops by designing and improving fixtures that ensure efficient, high-quality production.

About the role

You will be part of a collaborative team of designers working with the development of production equipment, with primary focus on assembly fixture design.

The role involves close collaboration with production and engineering teams to ensure that solutions are both functional and optimized for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop assembly fixtures for production lines

• Support assembly workshops with fixture improvements and optimizations

• Contribute to mechanical design of production equipment

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other stakeholders

• Work in CATIA V5 and manage design data in Enovia (PLM)

• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities

We are looking for someone with

• Approximately 5 years of experience in mechanical design within production or manufacturing

• Experience in fixture design for assembly

• Experience working with CATIA V5

• Understanding of PLM systems, preferably Enovia

• Ability to design production equipment and assembly solutions

• Fluent English

Meriting

• Experience from automotive or heavy industry

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Experience working in cross-functional industrial teams
